To speak at  the Anarchist Bookfair as part of their UK speakers tour.

Former Black Panther and Civil Rights Activists Lorenzo and JoNina Abron-Ervin will give the two keynote talks at the Anarchist Bookfair on Saturday 19th October at 2.00pm - 3.00pm and 5.00pm-6.00pm where they will speak on a number of issues including Mass Imprisonment, Racism and International Solidarity as well as their time with the infamous Black Panther movement.

Additionally, on the Thursday 24th October the couple will lead a Q&A discussion at Haringey Independent Cinema after the screening of political documentary COINTELPRO 101.  The 2010 film tells the little-known story of the FBI’s illegal war of terror waged against the full spectrum of radical movements in America during the 1950s, 60s, and 70s

As well as being the main speakers at the Bookfair the African American couple and veterans of the U.S. Black Power movement will undertake a nation-wide speakers tour at Universities and community centres around the UK including Glasgow, Nottingham, Birmingham, Cardiff, Bradford, Bristol, Canterbury and Cambridge.

Of the event, Tony Wood, of the Anarchist Bookfair Collective said, “We are excited that Lorenzo and JoNina have agreed to embark on this momentous tour and give our keynote speech at this year’s Bookfair, this is especially significant as we celebrate our 30th Anniversary of the London Anarchist Bookfair”. Lorenzo and JoNina are pleased to be part of the 30th Anniversary celebrations.
