It's officially Spring, and there are a whole host of movies trying to pry you away from the great outdoors and into a stuffy cinema. 

In honour of our Bright Young Things issue; here's a selection of films about the teen to adult transition

Looking back at the year, 2012 has been slightly disappointing at the cinema. 

The London Film Festival (LFF) returns this year in a shortened format. Now running for 11 days, and venturing away from its traditional central London home, the festival is set to be accessible to more people than ever before. 

The release of new movie 'Sparkle' is set to be an emotional one for music lovers and film fans alike. A remake of a 1976 film of the same name, this version is now best known for featuring final on screen appearance by Whitney Houston. 

The Defamation Of Strickland Banks (2010) launched Plan B as an artist into the commercial world with his soulful cuts that brought him huge acclaim, Ill Manors (2012) is however a return to the hip-hop and bars which he displayed in his debut album Who Needs Action When You Got Words (2006)

It's time for two of the biggest films of this, or any other year. First up a rebooted and re-suited version of Spider-Man swings into action as Andrew Garfield becomes the latest man to play Peter Parker. 

It's another big month in the film world, and with a number of sporting events beginning as well the cinema might be the best place to escape to. 

I must admit this was a difficult task, to narrow down some of the best wedding films felt impossible. So I have put it down to my top ten, to avoid going on forever. 

It's the traditional start of the Blockbuster season, not that the weather is giving as anything to go on, so here are some of our picks from May.  

On paper I probably shouldn’t adore this US import as obsessively as I do.

Superheroes, sequels, cowboys and a certain boy wizard that about sums up the summer ahead for film fans looking to venture into the multiplexes over the next few months.

One of the most anticipated films of the year, arguably the most anticipated film of all-time, 'The Dark Knight Rises' is the epic conclusion to the Batman trilogy as imagined by Christopher Nolan.
