Fresh from remixing some of the hottest upcoming UK talent, production duo Star One deservingly step into the limelight with their debut single ‘Respect’, out 11th June.

Already heavily supported by DJ Target on Radio 1Xtra, ‘Respect’ sees Star One team up with vocalist Sarah Lillie for a classy fusion of Sarah’s sweet Jazz-tinged vocals, enveloped like gems amongst bouncy bass UK Garage flavours, topped off with Star One’s pin-point production.

‘Respect’ comes with a B-side ‘Swag 3.5’, a fast paced and ferocious UK Funky banger which is sure to get the dancefloor moving and has been described as the Funky version of SX’s emphatic ‘Woo Riddim’. ‘Respect’ also includes the aptly-titled ‘Punch In the Face’ remix, as well as a stripped back and pitched down wobbly rework from Bad Osiris & Kee and remixes by Harry Wolfman and Philly & Jazz

Influenced by Garage, Grime, House and Hip Hop with a love for chopped samples and subtle basslines, brothers Phaze One and Blacksta as Star One have collaborated with the likes of Toddla T who singled the duo out ‘as one of the most exciting producers to emerge in 2011.’ Remixing for artists as diverse as Jamie Woon and BBC1’s much-loved Rastamouse, Star One are already turning the right heads in a very short space of time and with their debut release this May, 2012 is proving to be no different.
