If you're unsure about the finer details for your big day, or just need a bit of inspiration; Luxury Wedding Planner June Dixon from Prenuptial Angel has put together some of the hottest trends in the wedding world for 2012.

•Cake Pops – For brides not wanting a traditional wedding cake, Cake Pops will be a popular alternative alongside the ever popular cupcakes.

•Mismatch Bridesmaids Dresses – Not all your bridesmaids will look great in the same style, length or, colour of dress. Why not let the bridesmaids chose their own dress that complements the theme or wedding colours you have chosen.

•Lace Wedding Dresses – The fashion trend that was started by Kate Middleton last year remains prominent with brides in 2012. This year we will see a lot of open or low back designs making this trend ultra romantic and sexy.

•Red Wedding Dresses – Not one for the shy B2B, red wedding dresses may be a big trend for 2012.  Queen of bridal wear Vera Wang showcased a collection entirely of various shades of red recently at New York Bridal week.

•Bows –Bows have been very dominant recently on bridal gowns; however if you do not want such a statement piece on your dress you can opt to incorporate bows into the theme of your wedding – from your invitations to your menus  or even your cake.

•Blush Pink and Grey Theme – If you are looking for a colour scheme for your big day that will be romantic and eye catching all at the same time; Blush pink and grey will be a popular colour for this wedding season.

•Alternative Bouquet - A jewelled bouquet is a great way to add the ‘wow’ factor to your outfit.  It will last forever and can also add a sentimental touch to your bouquet by incorporating pieces of jewellery from loved ones.

•Cage Veils – If you want something different from the traditional long veil, the cage veil is the perfect solution. It is glamorous, easy and light to wear and if you are a bride on a budget why not make your own.

•Everything Vintage – This romantic and timeless theme is perfect for the bride wishing to add a creative edge to the day. Apart from wearing a vintage dress you can add a vintage touch to your day with the decor: dried flowers, doilies, picture frames and mason jars are a few ways to help transform your reception. For a vintage twist on a Candy Buffet check out www.candycampers.co.uk  to have your guests served retro sweets from a camper van.
